Lately, I have had little time for myself. I am so worn out. I know that I shouldn't complain. I did it to myself. No one held a gun to my head and told me take 18 credits this semester. I'm trying to look on the bright side of things. My former TV Broadcasting prof thought high enough of me to ask me to be her TA. I was happy to oblige. My advisor thought I needed to be more involved with the student newspaper, and so I decided to do graphics this year. Before these additions, I had 14 credits. I know I could manage that, but now with the TV broadcasting prof gone and a substitue in, I have been doing more work that I thought I would. It seems that I am going to have to change my work schedule so that can get my homework done.
I have way to much shit to do for classes. It is insane. I decided to not do some stuff because...shit something's got to give. Luckily I have some assignments that I can not do and it won't affect my grade. I'm just worried about getting my comps done for intro to photoshop, illustrator, and InDesign done because I have such a limited time to work on them. I hope I can get it done in time.

All I did today was failed epically at doing homework. I'm getting up at the butt crack of dawn to try to get some work done before classes. I have to do a field study by Wednesday for Communications Research, and I don't really know what I want to do. I guess I'll conduct a 30 minute semi-structured interview which will be based on the topic I have. Now I'm sort of regretting that I did not pick something to do with non-verbal communication because observing people would be easy.
I'm still frustrated that I cannot get illustrator on my laptop. I don't have the money to buy more RAM. This sucks ass.
Well I guess I did have something to say after all...
Since school started, I have been working non stop on projects and research papers. Besides intro to photoshop, the rest of my classes are relatively moderate in work. It's just that I have to read a hell of a lot. I like intro to Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, but my prof went crazy on the due dates for this first project. So the first thing we had to do the week before last was to come up with ten sketches for our project. I had to do it the morning before class because did not have any money to buy the mat board, sketch pad, and rubber cement until the night before. By the time I got home that night from work, I was dead tired. So I threw it all together and got a 17.5 out of 20 points. So that was pretty good. Then he tells us that we need to have our four comps done, created on photoshop, the following Thursday. Seems reasonable, right? However, I had to try to track down research for my communication research paper, my rhetorical analysis paper, and do a couple of chapter responses for my Mass Media Law class. On top of this, I did not have photoshop. So for three days I tried to install the free trial version, but it wasn't working. Finally the night before, I was able to install it and spent the entire night and the next morning trying to put my comps together. I had to rush to class, and ended up being a couple of minutes late. After telling him everying thing, he still decided that he was not going to grade it because it was late. THE FUCKER!!!! However, I was releaved to find out that it was worth only 20 points, and compared to three papers and the three big projects, which are worth just over 1000 points together, I didn't really miss out on much. However, I like the class and look forward to learning all I can from it. If I do well, then I think I'll continue taking graphic design classes my senior year.
Right now I am working on my analyzing artwork response. I'm going to try to crank out an issue response for Mass Media Law, and do a reading response for the chapter I need to read for History and Theory of Rhetoric. Then tomorrow, I'll just need to write up my topic paper for my rhetorical analysis paper for Rhetoric class and then I'll be free to work on my Photoshop project and will be able to study for my tests. In speaking of tests, I need to find out when they are so that I don't have to cram.
